filipino snub actress

Philippine Senator Ramon "Bong" Revilla Jr. ignored a recent snub by filipino actress Gretchen Barretto, and said he wished she would remain happy with filipino businessman Antonio "Tonyboy" Cojuangco.

Revilla and filipino actress-fe Lani Mercado hosted the party at the Annabel's Restaurant in Quezon City. "Wish ko na lalo siyang maging maligaya with Tonyboy and their daughter Dominique (I wish she would be more happy with Tonyboy and their daughter Dominique)," he told reporters, according to the Philippine Entertainment Portal (www.pep.ph). For her part, filipino actress Lanie Mercado said her wish was for Barretto to finally be wed to Cojuangco. "I know deep in her heart, gusto niyang makasal at iyon ang wish ko sa kanya — marriage with Tonyboy," filipino actress Lani Mercado said.

"I have a happy marriage and we're blessed with six beautiful children at gusto ko ganoon din siya... happiness with Tony Boy and daughter Dominique," filipino actress added. Revilla and Mercado were joined at the party by their children Brian, Jolo, Inah, Gianna, Lourdette and Vicente Ramon, as well as Revilla's siblings Andeng Ynares and Rowena Bautista-Mendiola. Last December 23, Barretto reportedly snubbed Revilla when she arrived at the birthday party of common friend, filipino actress Lorna Tolentino, at the MDC Bar in San Juan.

Witnesses said filipino actress Barretto greeted Mercado but purposely ignored Revilla, who was then standing beside his wife. When asked why she did not pay attention at all to Revilla, Barretto remarked that she had always been in good terms with Mercado because she respects the latter. The senator had refused then to comment on the incident, saying that he would rather keep his peace because of his friendship with Barretto's partner, Tonyboy. When asked where they will welcome the New Year, Revilla and filipino actress Lani Mercado said it has been their family tradition to await the parting of the year inside a church.

"Naging tradition na naming buong pamilya kahit noon pa, "na sa loob ng simbahan kami inaabutan ng New Year. Sa Imus Cathedral kami sama-samang nagsisimba. Pagkatapos ng mass, umuuwi kami sa bahay namin sa Imus at doon nagsasalu-salo at nag-e-exchange gift. New Year's day, sa kanya-kanya na kaming bahay," Philippine Senator said. On January 6, he said his family will visit Bicol so he could donate to typhoon victims the P500,000 prize he recently won at the "Deal or No Deal" television show. At the same time, it looks like the May 2007 elections will see a bevy of Revilla clan members running for various positions.

Philippine Senator Ramon Revilla said his filipino actress wife might also launch her candidacy for vice governor of Cavite province in the May 2007 elections. The couple's eldest, Brian, plans to run for councilor, while Revilla's brother Strike, for mayor of Bacoor town, reports said. Philippine Senator Ramon Revilla said his brother-in-law Jun-Jun Ynares, son of incumbent Governor Casimiro Ynares, will make a bid for an elective post in Rizal province, even as Ynares himself denied this. Ynares said his father is a first-termer and would still be good to seek re-election for two three-year terms.

Filipina model heat up the new year for FHM

Two bootylicious filipina babes will set the Year of the Pig on fire, the Philippine Entertainment Portal (www.pep.ph) reported on Thursday.

Filipina model Gwen Garci and Jocelyn Oxlade grace the cover of Philippine FHM's January 2007 issue.

Imagine Filipina model and Viva Hot Babe Gwen Garci on your magazine cover—and she's not alone! Joining her is the equally fiery beauty Ms. Hawaiian Tropic Jocelyn Oxlade.

As a Viva Hot Babe original member, Gwen is no neophyte when it comes to posing sexy in magazine covers. She appeared in FHM Philippines as early as September 2003. Gwen, who is in the cast of the Metro Manila Film Festival entry Ligalig, has been in the news the past year with the heated exchange of words between her and filipino ex-boyfriend Andrew Wolff.

Gwen says she learned a lesson from that messed-up relationship: she is now more careful in choosing her men. Filipina model says in the FHM interview, "Kailangan sila naman ang mag-alaga sa akin. They should pamper me and show that they're really sincere."

Filipina model also feels honored to be back on FHM Philippines. "As for this shoot, I'm up for it because I know I started as a sexy star and, of course, this is FHM!" says the Viva Hot Babe. She admits in her interview that she enjoys playing computer games. Doesn't that make Filipina model extra hot? Admit it, it's a major turn-on for guys when ladies know how to play computer games!

On the other hand, Jocelyn a Fil-British bagged last year's title of Miss Hawaiian Tropic Philippines. Like Filipina model, this is not the first time for Jocelyn to pose for FHM. She had her introductory shoot in June 2005. Jocelyn, who enjoys playing PC games herself, has plans of becoming a hip-hop artist someday. In Filipina model FHM Philippines interview, Jocelyn also points out that she's more than a bikini model. She says, "I'm more than that. Also I'm not just a model—I'm a singer, I'm a host, I graduated college. I want people to know that this Filipina model no bikini babe airhead." - Philippine Entertainment Portal

filipina singer noche buena

A VISITOR EXCLAIMS, “This looks like a hotel!” And filipina singer Jamie Rivera demurs, “Welcome to my humble home.”

There is, indeed, a feel of modesty about the interiors, though the house is decked with holiday decor. Filipina singer Jamie subscribes to minimalism. “Notice,” Filipina singer says, “that the design is in the details, like the balustrades and the beveled glass doors.”

The wooden floor has intricate embellishments made of narra and mahogany tiles. Filipina singer Jamie Rivera family moved in seven years ago, but the home still has a “new-ness” to it. That’s because they divide their time between this place and Jamie's in-laws’ house nearby.

“We spend Christmas Eve with immediate relatives, but the 25th is for my husband and daughter,” filipina singer explains. This new house is “party central,” where they usually entertain guests. It’s apparent from the state-of-the-art kitchen that they take dining seriously. It has a teppan table, where they whip up Japanese specialties.

For noche buena, Jamie is preparing a sumptuous but healthy repast, galantina, bavette with shrimps, herb tomato salad, beggars’ chicken, Yorkshire pudding and shiitake mushroom risotto. These days, Filipina singer also busy with advocacy work, the SOS Children’s Village and the scholarship program of her high school batch (1982) at the University of Santo Tomas. “We have a fund-raising concert for our scholars on Feb. 17 at the Manila Hotel, Philippines.”

Director Reyes describes this Star Cinema project as a “cute romantic-comedy.” “Filipina actress gave her all,” he points out.

If Filipina actress scenes with Pareño seem all too real, it’s because they regard each other like a true-life mom-and-daughter. After shooting a pivotal scene with the ensemble cast, Reyes reportedly exclaimed: “You’re infuriating! You’re all so good!” According to Agoncillo’s manager Noel Ferrer, a large part of the film’s fun factor was the fruit of the lead stars’ friendship with and fondness for the Filipino director.

Philippine tv host and model

Philippine tv host and model Aliya Parcs has proven to be more than just a pretty face. Her career in Manila launched in the year 2000, alternating in different bands 'till 2003. In 2001, during one of her gigs she was discovered by a modeling agent and her modeling career took off. Philippine tv host and model did over a dozen t.v. commercials even more print ads in Asia. Some of her endorsements included companies like MANELS, TOKYO FASHION and currently NATASHA. But even with her hands full, Aliya wanted more. She started hosting corporate shows and events on the side, which landed another t.v. stint. Philippine tv host and model hosted "PLANTET X", an extreme sports show and she became the first main host for "FASHION TV PHILIPPINES"

Still, Philippine tv host and model could not neglect her love for music, so when an offer came to revive the old hit song "HERE AND NOW", a composition by Filipino "living legend" JOSE MARI CHAN there was no way she could refuse this opportunity. They recorded the song, this time as a duet and with this song she appeared in her first first music video. On the side Aliya sang lots of jingles for t.v. and radio ads because she saw this as a great opportunity to learn the ropes and gain experience in recording. With the help of composer ALLAN FELICIANO from Hit productions, her voice was now anonymously all over t.v. and radio ads. He started pushing her to write Philippine tv host and model own songs and as Aliya loves to take a challenge, she gave it a try.

filipina woman lawyers

Filipina RAPE victim “Nicole’s” lawyers this time aided by former Philippine Senators Jovito Salonga and Wigberto Tañada want the petition filed by convicted US Marine Lance Cpl. Daniel Smith seeking his return to US Embassy custody transferred from the Philippine Court of Appeals to the Supreme Court. In a six-page motion filed before the Court of Appeals, filipina woman lawyers said the Supreme Court had exclusive jurisdiction over the issues raised by Smith in his petition. “The petition for certiorari of (Smith) filed with the (CA) involves pure questions of law regarding the interpretation of provisions of the Philippine Visiting Forces Agreement which falls within the exclusive jurisdiction of the Supreme Court en banc,’’ filipina woman lead counsel Evalyn Ursua said.

Former Philippine Senate President Salonga and Tañada signed as co-petitioners and helped in the “preparation and filing’’ of the petition asking the CA to “motu propio’’ (on one’s own initiative) transmit the case to the philippine Supreme Court. In his petition, Smith had asked the CA to nullify the Dec. 12, 2006, order issued by filipino Makati Judge Benjamin Pozon junking the convicted Marine’s motion to be transferred from the Makati city jail to the US Embassy. Salonga and Tañada, who were among the 12 Philippine senators who had voted for the removal of US military bases in the country in 1991, will appear for Nicole in case the CA decides to transmit Smith’s petition to the SC.

In her motion, filipina woman Nicole, through her lawyers, also asserted that the case should be transferred to the Philippine Supreme Court considering that a similar petition filed by her counsel was still pending before the court. Filipina woman was referring to the petition for certiorari filed on June 19, 2006, questioning the constitutionality and interpretation of Article V, Paragraph 6, of the Visiting Forces Agreement (VFA). The same provision is being used by Smith as grounds for seeking transfer of his custody. The provision states that: “The custody of any United States personnel over whom the Philippines is to exercise jurisdiction shall immediately reside with US military authorities, if they so request, from the commission of the offense until completion of all judicial proceedings.’’ “The said petition before the Philippine Supreme Court covers the issues that herein petitioner Daniel Smith has raised in his instant petition before the Court of Appeals, particularly the interpretation of Article V, Paragraph 6, of the Visiting Forces Agreement insofar as the issue of custody is concerned,’’ filipina woman lawyers said.

In their petition for certiorari, filipina woman lawyers asked the Supreme Court to declare the VFA provision unconstitutional as it violated her right to equal protection under the law being the victim in this case. Smith maintained that under the same provision, he should have remained in the custody of the US government until the completion of all the judicial proceedings relating to the rape case filed against him. Smith accused Pozon of committing a grave abuse of discretion and acting without jurisdiction when the judge ordered the Marine’s confinement at the Makati city jail.

The issue of custody over United States personnel facing criminal charges in the Philippines, according to the petitioner, was to be mutually agreed upon by the executive branches of the US and the Philippines under the VFA. “Given the foregoing, movants respectfully submit that the instant petition of Daniel Smith should be referred by the Philippine Court of Appeals to the Supreme Court in deference to the primary jurisdiction of the Supreme Court over the petition pending before the latter court which involves the same parties and the same and/or similar issues,” filipina woman "Nicole" lawyers said

filipina singer advice

Lea Salonga, a filipina singer jumped on the reality TV bandwagon recently via guestings as judge on ABC 5’s “Philippine Idol” and as teacher on ABS-CBN’s “Pinoy Dream Academy.” the filipina singer gave pointers to Idols and Dreamers advising the latter to “be disciplined, respectful, professional, punctual.” On “Idol,” she was very specific in pointing out strengths and weaknesses. A self-confessed “American Idol” fan, Lea was eerily Simon Cowell-like, never failing to hit the nail on the head. After all, filipina singer is famous for her “bionic ears” and “pitch-perfect voice.”

Would filipina singer ever consider being a full-time voice teacher? (Last year, she tutored KC Concepcion and Karel Marquez, the Belles of Atlantis’ “Beauty and the Beast”). “I’d like to be a coach of some sort,” she wrote in an e-mail sent to Inquirer Entertainment on the eve of her flight to Doha, Qatar, where she sang at the closing ceremonies of the 15th Asian Games on Friday. “There are better voice teachers but ... I think I can teach about life in this business, not just onstage, but off it.” Would she have joined a reality talent search if she were a neophyte at this time? “Probably not,” filipina singer quipped. “Back in the day, there were singing contests as well (‘Tawag ng Tanghalan’ and ‘Ang Bagong Kampeon’) but I wasn’t ever attracted to them. I was into musical theater. I think I would have taken the same route.” What’s her take on the reality TV cottage industry? “It’s a rapid way to get famous,” filipina singer noted. As I told the PDA scholars: ‘Becoming famous is easy; staying famous is hard.’”

How can the genre prevent the rise of divas and non-talents? “Nothing can prevent that. Divas will [turn up], whatever happens,” filipina singer asserted. Before she can go into teaching full time, there are plenty of items on her to-do list. “I’m finishing my album and Christmas presents! Haay, there’s never enough time, now that I have a child.” Lea recently recorded a duet with Julio Iglesias for his new album, “Romantic Classics.” They didn’t record together, though. “He did his part in Spain; I did mine in Manila,” said filipina singer Lea Salongga. “I was supervised by Ryan Cayabyab and Vic Valenciano, A&R director of Sony-BMG.” After the recording sessions, Julio finally met Lea in New York. “He was such a charming, lovely man,” she said. “Funny and handsome, very engaging.” As for her new all-English studio album under Sony-BMG? “It’s a wonderful collection of love songs, mostly beautifully orchestrated and arranged,” said filipina singer.

Her brother Gerard, along with Ria Osorio and Marvin Querido, arranged several songs. What is it like for him, working with his famous filipina sister? “It’s always wonderful to work with a great artist, sister or not,” Gerard said. There’s perhaps a bit of mental telepathy going on. I think we also breathe at the same time, and we have the same sense of pace for musical passages. That makes it fun.”

philippine dream academy winner

Filipina teen Yeng Constantino hit araneta coliseum with 697,648 votes 37.32% and declared as Pinoy Dream Academy (PDA) grand star dreamer last saturday night.

Here are some filipina teen Yeng Constantino songs and lyrics:

Pangarap Lang
composed by: yeng constantino

Pangarap ko’y makarating sa buwan at
Lumipad hanggang doon sa kalawakan
Nais kong humabol sa pag-ikot ng mundo
Sumabay sa awit ko

Sasakay ako sa aking pangarap
Basta’t ang kasama ko’y ikaw
May liwanag
Sasakay ako sa aking pangarap
Pagkat ang laman ng puso ko’y ikaw
May liwanag

Sasakay ako sa aking pangarap
Basta’t ang kasama ko’y ikaw
May liwanag
Sasakay ako sa aking pangarap
Pagkat ang laman ng puso ko’y ikaw
May liwanag

Tell Me Now
composed by: yeng constantino

I love to hurt you baby
I love to see you so sad
I want to hear you saying please

I love to see you breathing
I want to see you broken because of me
I want you down on your knees

Cuz it`s the only thing that makes me realize
That there is something in your heart that you hide
You don`t talk about it so i ( really ) don`t know
But I wanna hear it
So baby please, oh oh.

Tell me now if you really love me
Tell me now if you reall need me
Tell me, tell me now
Cuz I`m confused

Tell me now cuz my heart is breaking
Tell me now cuz I won`t stop asking
Tell me now, tell me now
Cuz I really really wanna know

I love to hurt you baby
I want to see you do everything wrong
I wanna put teardrops in your eyes
I wanna see you breathing
I want to see you crying
I want you down on your knees

Hawak Kamay
composed by: yeng constantino

Minsan madarama mo kay bigat ng problema
Minsan mahihirapan ka at masasabing “di ko makakaya”
Tumingin ka lang sa langit
Baka sakaling may masumpungan
Di kaya ako’y tawagin
Malalaman mong kahit kailan

Chorus
Hawak-kamay
Di kita iiwan sa paglakbay
Dito sa mundong walang katiyakan
Hawak-kamay
Di kita bibitawan sa paglalakbay
Sa mundo ng kawalan

Minsan madarama mo
Ang mundo’y gumuho sa ilalim ng iyong mga paa
At ang agos ng problema’y tinatangay ka
Tumingin ka lang sa langit
Baka sakaling may masumpungan
Di kaya ako’y tawagin
Malalaman mong kahit kailan

(Chorus)

Bridge:
Wag mong sabihin nag-iisa ka
Laging isipin meron kang kasama
Narito ako oh, Narito ako…

(Chorus)

Sa mundo ng kawalan
Hawak-kamay, Hawak-kamay
Sa mundo ng kawalan…

This PDA grand winner is a good and proud filipina teen. Well.. congrats yeng constantino, may you shine more brigther in the future.

filipina tv host actress

I was shopping for some gifts to my love ones, i was really amazed and can't keep my eyes off on FHM Mag december issue, it was the sexy filipina tv host and actress Chesca Garcia. She's really sexy on her bikini suit.

Sexy filipina tv host actress exclusive interview.

Surely, you know this is our 69th issue. What comes to mind when you hear that number?
(Filipina tv host actress smiles) It’s a number, just like any other number.

Where can we catch a glimpse of you these days?
I’m hosting a new lifestyle show on Studio 23, Us Girls, and also doing an afternoon soap by TAPE called Agawin Mo Man ang Lahat. I’m also doing endorsements.

You started in a pineapple ad when you were six. As a bona fide commercial model, if there’s one product you wouldn’t endorse, what would it be?
I wouldn’t want to say “never.” You’ll never be too sure. But with the stuff that I endorse, it’s because I really believe in the product. As with others, sometimes it’s how they put together an ad or a product that makes it nice. Therefore, I’ll never say “never” because you’ll never really know.

Just like posing for FHM!
Well, yeah, ha ha! That’s true. But you know, I never really had the time to think of the possibility of doing this. Although I knew it was going to be hard for me to do this—especially with the people in my life. See, this is very unlikely of me. I really had to explain the shoot and why I’m doing this. Also I had to make sure I was going to do something that I was comfortable with.

You do look like the good girl type, but when does your wild side come out?
My filipino boyfriend and friends always say that they’ll never see me doing anything naughty. Of course when I’m with my filipina girl friends, I loosen up. But when I’m out, you won’t see me getting drunk or dancing wildly. So, no, I’ve got no drunken stories to tell. If that happens, that would be the day!

What’s your most embarrassing moment, then, with no alcohol to help you achieve it?
Oh my goodness, I have a lot! But it’s got to be when I was watching my filipino boyfriend’s UAAP basketball game—Ateneo versus La Salle—at the Araneta Coliseum. I don’t know how it happened, but I stepped on my shoelace and fell sideways, as in really fell, in front of all these people. So my brother Patrick "a filipino actor" had to run to me and pretend that he fell, too. Some people had to help me get up. I’m so clumsy!

Better read Fhm December issue for more details about this sexy filipina tv host actress.

filipina singer hits

Filipina lady GREW up listening to the sappy jukebox hits of gamous filipino sigers Victor Wood, Eddie Peregrina, filipina singer Didith Reyes, Imelda Papin, Claire dela Fuente and Eva Eugenio. Of course, there were bigger stars in the ’70s and ’80s, but these names lorded over everybody else in that coin-operated musical machine. When we purchased our copy of filipina singer Sheryn Regis’ latest album, “The Modern Jukebox Collection,” filipina ladies were intrigued by the concept.

Accessible, To those young filipino to know what a jukebox is, it was a contraption that made songs accessible to people who couldn’t buy machines for recording formats that were available at the time: Vinyls, eight-tracks or cassettes. (There weren’t I-Pods and CD players then.) All you had to do was drop a coin and choose from a playlist and -- voila -- you’d automatically hear your favorite songs. Technology has since made the jukebox almost obsolete, however.

Unrequited love

Happily, filipina singer songs about mostly unrequited love are a welcome addition to the current surfeit of OPM covers and revivals. The collection boasts of five remakes, six originals and minus-ones. The remakes include Leah Navarro’s “Ang Pag Ibig Kong Ito”, Joey Albert’s “I Remember the Boy”, filipina singer actress Vina Morales’ “Alam Mo Ba,” and a requisite belting track, Linda Eder’s “After All.” Our picks: Manilyn Reynes’ “Sayang na Sayang,” one of the last decade’s most popular songs; the Aegis-styled “Ang Pag Ibig Kong Ito,” and Larry Hermoso’s “Bakit Iniwan Mo?,” whose melody will remind you of filipina singer actress Jolina Magdangal’s innocuous “Dahil Mahal na Mahal Kita.” The track’s power builds up as it smolders from the sentimental intro to its earnestly sung chorus -- a guilty aural pleasure for people who love sentimental tunes. Like most of Vehnee Saturno’s hits, “Di Na Babalik Pa” has a refreshing but familiar melody. In the rock-tinged “Ang Pag Ibig Kong Ito,” Regis falters when she loses the last notes as she dips down into “Ngunit ayokong may makakita,” and then again, when she sings, “Yan ay ayokong kanyang malaman.” But, filipina singer recovers in time for its conclusion: “Sana’y kapalaran ko ay magbago.”

Repetitive

She also goes to town in the self-penned “Pusong Lito,” but the lyrics are trite, repetitive and unoriginal. What is missing in this album is filipina singer delightful version of Hotdog’s “Bongga Ka, Day,” which deserves its rightful place in any jukebox. Sheryn has a beautiful voice, but it lacks a distinct quality. There’s no doubt about it: The petite vocal dynamo has steely pipes. But, listening to the same histrionic singing style all the time can be boring. So, filipina singer somber version of “I Remember the Boy” is a breath of fresh air in a lineup that showcases lung power more than emotive ability. For his part, MYX Music Awards’ recent best filipino artist awardee, Erik Santos, shows considerable growth as a singer in his fourth solo album, “Your Love, ” where he pays tribute to popular band hits from the 90s.(filipino singer beat Regis in that contentious singing competition a few years ago, remember?) This time, Erik displays impeccable taste in his musicality—a trait that was already evident in his last CD outing, “Loving You Now.”

Romantic ballads

In the 12-track collection, filipino singer breathes new life into pop-rock hits and turns them into beautifully-sung romantic ballads: From “Your Love” and “Running Away” to “Next in Line” and “Say You’ll Never Go.” In “Parting Time,” his duet with filipina singer Kyla, he displays full control of his voice. He gives a foot-stomping performance and grooves to “Huwag Na Lang Kaya.” Erik version of Afterimage’s “Next in Line” lacks the sense of urgency needed by its lyrics, however. But, Neocolours’s “Say You’ll Never Go” perfectly suits filipino singers voice quality: Raspy, full-bodied and confident, from the low registers to the soaring high notes. Filipino singer Erik is best heard when he sings softly and leisurely. (He was in top vocal shape when he covered Hotdog’s “Bitin sa ’Yo,” recently) He further demonstrates singing panache here. Our top picks: “Misty Glass Window,” “Kisap Mata” and his soulful version of “Maging Sino Ka Man.”

Technique

Filipino singer may have started on the wrong foot by beating somebody who was more vocally equipped than he was. But, the guy has grown considerably as a Philippine singer -- in terms of style, technique and discipline. Filipino singer has realized that being a champion doesn’t require him to shout his songs all the time: Music that comes from the heart will always be better than that sung through pure chest power, and by this many filipina singer are following his footsteps right now.

philippine president lady

PHILIPPINE PRESIDENT LADY Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo has backed off on the issue of Charter change and said the people would decide on the amendments at the time they deem “ripe and needful,” and “in the manner they deem proper.” The President lady statement comes after her allies in the House of Representatives archived the resolution convening Congress into a constituent assembly to pave the way for constitutional reforms. And as far as some senators are concerned, Philippine President and the House’s actions signal the start of the election season.

The Senate has openly opposed any move to amend the Charter, saying this was not the time to deliberate on the issue. President lady and the House’s statements on Charter change were issued ahead of a large prayer rally, led by the Catholic Church, on Sunday. "Philippine democracy will always find the proper time and opportunity for Charter reform at a time when the people deem it ripe and needful, and in the manner they deem proper," President lady said. With Charter change now relegated to the backburner, Arroyo said the nation must now come together and focus on development. "The nation must consolidate now and I call upon all our institutions and sectors to stand as one for the country’s future," Philippine president lady said.

Philippine President commended her allies in the House, especially Speaker Jose de Venecia, "for heeding the voice of national consolidation and unity, without sacrificing their high vision of political renewal." "I commend the decision of the House leadership as an act of statesmanship to unify not only the two chambers of the legislature but the whole nation around the issue of Charter change," Arroyo said. "It is time to gather together all the energies of our people for the continuing work ahead -- maintaining our economic strength, ensuring the social payback of economic reforms, and helping distressed communities back to their feet," President lady added. Charter change has been a priority on the President’s agenda. The people's initiative, another means to amend the Constitution and which she also supported, was dismissed by the Supreme Court two months ago. Senator Joker Arroyo answered in the affirmative when asked whether the twin decisions by Philippine President lady and the House signaled the start of the campaign season.

cooking with filipina actress

FILIPINA CELEBRITY ACTRESS JUDY ANN SANTOS, with beau Ryan Agoncillo and friend Beth Tamayo, mounted “Cookie Jam,” a cake and pastry auction in celebrity own Café Carabana on two festive nights. “We auctioned eight cakes, two carrot-banana breads and five muffin varieties. Bidding for the cakes started at P1,000; for the muffins (a box of 12), P500,” Filipina actress recalls.

On the first night, filipina celebrity actress sold a New York cheesecake worth P4,300. On the second auction, a Tableya cake, made from pure chocolate tablets, went for a record P13,000. “The entrance ticket, which cost P300, came with a big chocolate chip cookie for free,” she explains. As bonus, there were also performances from filipina rock artists Maegan Aguilar, Radha Cuadrado and, naturally, Cookie Chua. Filipina celebrity actress supports two foundations: Touch a Heart (for kids and the elderly) and Lyrics and Sheet (for a leper colony), according to filipina actress manager Alfie Lorenzo.

The auction, a fund-raiser, was clearly a labor of love. Aided by family and friends, she usually starts baking at 8 in the morning until a few minutes before the big event. It can be nerve-wracking. “But seeing the smiles of those who bought the cakes makes it all worthwhile. They are always surprised when I tell them that I baked the cakes myself,” she quips. Filipina celebrity actress graduated from the Center for Asian Culinary Studies, under filipina chef Gene Gonzales of Café Ysabel Greenhills Philippines, last Wednesday.

filipina tv host actress

Filipina tv host actress Pia Guanio is now Vic’s lifetime leading lady

FOR the past four years, Octoarts Films and M-Zet TV Productions were a tried-and-tested team, with all their entries ending up to be the Metro Manila Film Festival’s top grosser. Now, they’re back with the third sequel, “Enteng Kabisote: Okay Ka, Fairy Ko (The Legend Goes On And On And On),” top-billed by Vic Sotto, with the special participation of his “honey” Filipina tv host actress Pia Guanio.

The interesting plot plus the technical marvel are surely the film’s main strengths. I kidded Pia: “You should have replaced Kristine Hermosa as Vic’s partner in the movie!” Filipina tv host actress smiled. “No big deal with me! I’m happy to support Vic in all his projects.” Besides, why would she mind? Looks like she’s already Vic’s lifetime leading lady. No more “extras” on the side huh, Bossing?

hottest philippine scandal

Hottest Philippine scandal doesn’t faze foreign nursing students

UNFAZED by the Philippine scandal generated by the leakage in last June’s licensure exams, many Filipinos based in the United States continue to send their children here to study nursing. They go, of course, to the top schools here like the University of the Philippines, University of Santo Tomas and the University of the East-Ramon Magsaysay (UERM), according to Rosario-May Mayor, president of the Philippine Nurses Association of America. Mayor, 58, is currently the director for performance improvement in the Department of Veterans Affairs in the Bronx, New York City. She is in town to help advocate for the improvement of the local nursing educational system.

Very expensive, Mayor said not only was it hard to get into a nursing school in the United States, it was also very expensive. Last year, 144,000 nursing school applicants were rejected because there weren’t enough teachers, she told reporters yesterday at a press conference about this philippine scandal. Once admitted, a student in the US could spend $26,000 (P1.28 million) a year. Top Philippine nursing schools provide a viable alternative, Mayor said. At the UERM, for instance, nursing Dean Carmencita Divinagracia said tuition was low compared to US rates. The approximate rate every semester was around P28,000 for freshmen, P38,000 for sophomores, and P40,000 for juniors and seniors. This semester, the UERM-College of Nursing had 15 foreign students enrolled, including a Korean, a Nigerian and a number of Filipino-Americans.

Divinagracia said Filipino-American students with dual citizenship could opt to take the licensure exams here or in the United States. Mayor stressed the need to improve the quality of nursing education, especially after the "hottest Philippine scandal" leakage controversy in the June board exams. She said the scandal was so serious, she feared the Commission on Graduates of Foreign Nursing Schools (CGFNS) might implement a “blanket denial for VisaScreen” covering applicants of the June 2006 batch. The CGFNS is the agency that determines the eligibility of foreign-trained nurses to work in the United States. VisaScreen is a trademark name of the CGFNS’ exam which certifies foreign health care professionals. It does so by “verifying and evaluating their credentials to ensure that they meet the government’s minimum eligibility standards.” “Any VisaScreen applications that CGFNS receives from June 2006 passers will be accepted but deferred for a final decision until this Philippine scandal assessment process is complete,” the CGFNS said in a statement in October.

Denied, “If the assessment concludes that the license is not comparable, the VisaScreen application from a June 2006 passer will be denied because of this hottest Philippine scandal.” Mayor, who’s been working in the US since 1971, said the actions by the Court of Appeals, the Professional Regulation Commission and Malacañang had not properly addressed the leakage problem. “The powers that be were not decisive as they should have been and people suffered and will continue to suffer because of hottest Philippine scandal leakage,” she said, noting that there were now 126,000 vacancies for nurses in American hospitals.

Meanwhile, selected members of the Petron-national team will start training for world competitions this year, with Geisler plunging into action first in the Olympic qualifier in Thailand.

philippine pinay woman

Pinay woman Cory Aquino to join Dec. 17 rally at Luneta. THE ICON OF Filipino People Power yesterday said she would take part in the Church-led prayer rally on Dec. 17 to protest the Palace-backed move by administration congressmen, since withdrawn, to amend the 1987 Charter through a constituent assembly (Con-ass).

In a brief statement, former Philippine President pinay woman Corazon “Cory” Aquino also called on the people to join the rally at the Rizal Park and ask God to enlighten the lawmakers. “I will join the prayer rally on Sunday at the Luneta to express my moral outrage at the attempt of administration congressmen to foist their processed idea of Charter change upon the nation by turning Congress into a constituent assembly,” Aquino said. “I share the view that Charter change is a serious undertaking that would need careful and widespread deliberation not only by our lawmakers but [also] by the citizenry they represent,” pinay woman said.

Like pinay woman two more Philippine Roman Catholic leaders -- Bishop Socrates Villegas of Balanga, Bataan, and Bishop Emeritus Ted Bacani of Caloocan -- have spoken out against the continuing effort at Charter change (Cha-cha), this time through a constitutional convention (Con-con). “The primary proof of corrupt governance is the continuous insistence on changing the Constitution,” Villegas said in Filipino in a pastoral statement released to his diocese yesterday afternoon. “The problem that bears heaviest on our country is not the lack of food and jobs, terrorism, or the string of typhoons. It’s the corrupt politicians and a government with no semblance of decency,” Villegas said. Bacani called on the people not to “let your guard down” even if administration lawmakers appeared to have scrapped the Con-ass. “We all know that most of our leaders are abusive. Given the opportunity, they will lunge at it for their own benefit,” he said in Filipino in an interview at the Church-run Radio Veritas.

“[Philippine President and a pinay woman Ms Arroyo] will fight tooth and nail to dance the Cha-cha in spite of her obvious ineptness for leading the Filipino people toward the right direction -- a direction that will be responsive to what the people need to survive,” said the Freedom from Debt Coalition, one of the groups under the LnM.

filipina celebrity scandal

Filipina celebrity scandal? Someone told me tonight that she heard Borgy Manotoc declare that he's a 7-incher and that he soaked Vina Morales.

Holy cow.. . Tell me that's not true.

Vina Morales????? my gush!!!! "

A Filipino model Borgy Manotoc is courting a filipina celebrity scandal trouble for naming over a radio show three celebrities he had gone to bed with, the Philippine Entertainment Portal (PEP) reported Thursday.

Manotoc, son of famous filipina Ilocos Norte Rep. Imee Marcos, told Good Times with Mo program over Magic 89.9 on Wednesday morning that he had slept with German model Lana Asanin, Victoria London and pinay actress-singer Vina Morales. One of the three celebrities cried foul "filipina celebrity scandal" over Manotoc's remarks and vowed to clear her name. PEP said Morales would confront Manotoc while a newspaper columnist claimed that the pinay actress would demand an explanation from the grandson of the late filipino dictator Ferdinand Marcos. The radio program, hosted by Mo Twister, featured filipino model Manotoc on its Forbidden Questions segment. Taking the hot seat, Manotoc was bombarded with 40 "forbidden" questions and "scored perfect 40" for answering all Mo’s questions that leads for filipina celebrity scandal.

"The bad news," according to PEP, is that other filipina celebrities mentioned over the radio by filipino model Manotoc might blow their top. Other controversial questions that leads to filipina celebrity scandal, Manotoc answered on the radio program were:

* Worst dressed celebrity: Gwen Garci,

* Plastic celebrity: KC Montero

* Better in bed, Ornussa Cadness or Sara Meier? Answer: Ornussa

* Person you won't work with anymore: Christian Bautista (Christian was invited to an art show to receive or present an award with Borgy. Christian allegedly refused to go inside the place.)

* Celebrity who you think has gone under the knife: Pops Fernandez

* Worst billboards: Bench Understatement ads and F&H of Polo Ravales

* Model who doesn't look like one: Robbie Mananquil

* Worst experience with a politician: Joseph Estrada

filipina exposed scandal

Members of the Justice for Nicole Justice for the Nation Campaign Network (JNJNCN) and Task Force Subic Rape "the filipina exposed scandal" (TFSR) picketed the Department of Justice as Chief Prosecutor Zuno ceded custody of Lance Cpl. Daniel Smith to US custody following his 40-year for filipina exposed scandal rape two days ago.

Supporters of filipina exposed scandal Nicole maintained that Smith should serve time in a Philippine jail; anything less would transform the landmark conviction to a hollow victory for Nicole. According to JNJNCN-TFSR, this move has certainly stolen the thunder of convicting a US Marine in Philippine soil. “We will not be surprised if this turns out to be part of the plan hatched by GMA and the US Embassy: let filipina exposed scandal Nicole have her conviction while ensuring that the US will ‘take care’ of Smith in the comfort of the embassy,” said Esperanza Santos. The Subic Rape Case "filipina exposed scandal" intensified calls to scrap the lop-sided Visiting Forces Agreement (VFA). With the VFA, US soldiers have legal cover and can knowingly violate Philippine laws. JNJNCN and TFSR raised fears that if Smith goes back to US custody this case "filipina exposed scandal" would send a message to US troops that Philippine justice is all bark and no bite.

Filipina exposed scandal Press Release
Task Force Subic Rape
Dec. 4, 2006

It is with deep pride and humility that the Task Force Subic Rape "filipina exposed scandal" and the “Justice for Nicole Justice for the Nation” campaign join Nicole, her family and relatives, supporters and the entire nation in welcoming the decision of Judge Benjamin Pozon of the Makati Trial Court. We believe that the Subic rape case "filipina exposed scandal" is a landmark case for being the first that has come to trial in our country against U.S. servicemen, and for its importance in challenging the implementation of the Anti-rape Law in the furtherance of women’s rights. The case of filipina exposed scandal Nicole has brought to light not only the issue of violence against women but also just as important the nature of the Visiting Forces Agreement or VFA. The victory of Nicole is a victory for all Filipino women. It is as well a victory for the nation. From hereon, the VFA cannot be used to defend abusive conduct and behavior of any military person, man or woman, who transgress the laws of the land. Yet, in the same breath, for as long as the VFA is intact with its one-sided privileges given to the US military personnel, every woman who is abused by US military, would have to fight as hard as filipina exposed scandal "Nicole".

There will be other times and many more occasions to continue the struggle against the VFA. We will persevere in this. Filipina exposed scandal "Nicole" has won, and justice has been achieved for the entire nation. We as a people have shown that we are indeed sovereign. We want to thank Judge Pozon for his courage and belief in justice. In his decision, the people can gather hope again that indeed our justice system is the bearer of truth, which cannot be swayed by threats or any other political pressures. Thank you, Judge Pozon. Filipina exposed scandal, Nicole is a model of Filipino womanhood: courageous, unflinching in her principles, and one who should be emulated by all women who remain silenced in their pains. Justice can only be served once we all break out from the fears that envelop us. Violence against women "filipina exposed scandal" cannot and will not be tolerated. Nicole will move on, even how difficult it may be. Her victory must be made complete to the end until legal proceedings reach finality. TFSR will see to it that the justice filipina exposed scandal has claimed will not be taken away from her. Justice must be meted out not only to the convicted but even to those acquitted who were party to the crime. We collectively and individually will see to it that this victory remains a lesson and a guiding path for all women victims of "filipina exposed scandal" sexual abuse.

filipina celebrity

As a child, filipina celebrity Sharon Cuneta Pangilinan dreamt of becoming a singer. At the age of 12, she became what she wanted, and much more. Sharon Cuneta Pangilinan made recording history with Mr DJ, under her album DJ's Pet. And after almost 30 years in the business, filipina celebrity has remained a force to reckon with: in movies, recording, advertising and television.

Filipina celebrity recordings have never been better – she came out with another hit Sharon Sings Alcasid in 2005 and is scheduled to release her first acoustic album in 2006, both under Sony BMG. In advertising, she sold a million products than any other celebrities combined. She made a ship brand famous. Filipina celebrity endorsed tuna, milk, chicken, make up, feminine wash, facial wash, a bank, a telecom company, and just recently, a mayonnaise – name it and Sharon have done it. Proving that size really doesn't matter all the time. Her face commands revenue and her voice, success in every product filipina celebrity chooses to endorse.

Filipina celebrity Sharon Cuneta is definitely not the best singer in the Philippines nor is she the best actress in showbiz, but there is something in her that makes her stand-out from the rest and be the way that she is now – as an actress, a singer, a tv host, an endorser, and as a person. Filipina celebrity being in showbiz, reaching the top and maintaining it are not just because she is an exceptional performer, it is more than that. Call it a blessing, a curse or anything you want, but Sharon Cuneta personifies what each and everyone of us dream to be and have the things filipina celebrity achieved, ours.

filipina model and actress

MANILA, April 20, 2005 (STAR) By Philippine Writer, People Asia Magazine - I was forewarned by my filipina friends who did not like filipina model and actress Anne Curtis that I should grab onto my seat because her wide mouth could just vacuum me out of existence the moment filipina model and actress started to speak. Obviously a caveat from a hate camp, which condemned her for so many easy, available reasons that to argue with them would be pointless. I myself was then a trifle annoyed at her - her gnarled tongue that cannot elicit a decent Tagalog phrase, her insufferable squeamishness that ruins the little girl in her, filipina model and actress apparent pinballing from one boy-next-door to the next, which, um, ruins many chances of doing the same with these boys. Caution taken, I went to meet her for an interview. And they were right. Filipina model and actress could vacuum you.

Only it's not filipina model and actress mouth that does it. The derision can just stop there. It is she herself that sucks you in, like an impish vortex that plunges you, whips you and then gives you an Is-she your-sister-is-she-your-daughter slap from Chinatown. Then it happened to me: that moment when celebrities peel their camera layer and reveal their true beautiful self, like a plumed serpent ready for a new close-up, a fresh dialogue and a new audience. Often stars look the same. They have that waxwork eeriness that's as eternal as sunshine and as spotless as an empty mind. Sometimes, they even look better on screen, which is a complete letdown. But with filipina model and actress Anne Curtis I had a cliche moment referred to as "Iba ang hitsura n ya sa personal." (She looks different in person.) Her mouth is no bigger than anyone's. In fact whatever oddity it possesses surely comes to her advantage. Suddenly one pardons her lousy Tagalog, her insufferable image and her boy toy collection. I should have said: Filipina model and actress is a different person.

So much different from the filipina model and actress girl who nauseously played a fairy in Beh Bote Nga, tragically dressed like Blanche Dubois, her skinny arms flailing awkwardly, her face in grotesque adult makeup and her mouth quickly dispensing spells of disaster. She was Avril Lavigne given Prozac. She was singularly and consistently criticized for being maarte (prissy), something that she just shrugs off, claiming that all the roles that were given to her had that nature. Filipina model and actress was limitedly packaged as that - exaggerating her squeamishness, squeaking her voice, annoying everyone. But as our talk progressed, the hate camp was completely destroyed. Rightly so, for filipina model and actress Anne Curtis deserves a break. As in the case of Hiram, the primetime sudser from ABSCBN in which she plays Stephanie, one of the sides of the new love triangle brewing on series TV (Geoff Eigenmann and Heart Evangelista complete the menage). Another hackneyed part, but this time it's not in the vapid frame of adolescent callowness. Full support comes from veteran players and a more schizoid plotline for the young actors who are so used to the overdone "To-text-or-not-to-text" soliloquy. Anne's foray in this genre could be the Steph-no, Steph-yes of her career. If she gets it right, then she could blissfully dip filipina model and actress toes in meatier movie roles, and not just blend in the background like she did in Joel Lamangan's Filipinas.

With filipina model and actress more mature role in Hiram also comes her GSM Blue endorsement, one that heralds her true coming-out party. It has the perfect lethal mix of bubblegum fizz and lucid intoxication. But is filipina model and actress convincing enough? "I've said many times before, the reason I did that commercial was that when I go out myself I don't deny the fact that I drink, but it's social drinking and not getting drunk. For other people, though, they can't see that I'm already 20," Anne explained. Men can drink the liquor in moderation, but certainly they can't take their eyes off our Lolita from Down Under, the nymphet-turned-nymph who essays the role of Stephanie like Anne curtis lost her lollipop and begins to realize that she has better things to suck on, like Geoff's love and Heart's venom. The spitfire girl is born. And we embrace her for that. Especially when she landed a spot hosting the filipina teen edition of The Buzz where she spoke with enough tongue-in-cheek humor to convince pinay tv host actress Kris Aquino to proclaim her the heir to her throne of tactlessness, tacky impudence and dating revelations. In fact, the many controversies that have pelted Anne have made filipina model and actress a favorite among the public. She readily admitted to the cellphone video, and showing her weakness and humanity and her raging hormones gave her absolution. Had Anne curtis denied it, she couldn't have had the same stroke of luck she's currently enjoying. She, like the rest of us, is merely a victim of nature’s scheme. "I don’t see the point of not admitting it," filipina model and actress Anne Curtis explained. "I’ve never been the kind of person to deny anything. I would just look like a liar."

There was a time when filipina model and actress Anne Curtis wasn’t 20 yet and she was busy partying and hanging out with different boys. She was the wild mushroom of tipsy hour. "Well that was last year, but this time no more," Anne said in filipina model and actress defense. "I guess everyone goes through that stage when finally you’re free of your boyfriend and enjoying yourself. My God! Even if I finished work at three in the morning, I’d still take time to go out with the friends. But not anymore, I’m too tired." Filipina model and actress also had a handful of suitors, notably Oyo Boy Sotto and Richard Gutierrez. Cogie Domingo even got punched by a jealous Oyo Boy on one occasion. After two and a half years, Anne called it quits with Oyo; she just wanted to have more fun. "But all these guys, I’m good friends with," she revealed. Danica Sotto, Oyo’s sister, is Anne’s good pal. "The Sottos are really quiet people. If you speak to them they can be friendly, but if they don’t know you, they won’t." Incidentally Dina Bonnevie plays filipina model and actress Anne Curtis mother in Hiram. "It’s fun to work with her. She’s practically a mother to me."

But filipina model and actress Anne Curtis cannot imagine what her life would’ve been like had she remained in Australia, where she was born and raised. (Her dad, who’s a lawyer, came to live here when Anne was 12.) "I am so happy that I’m here. If I were in Australia I’d have been in a boarding school!" filipina model and actress exclaimed. "My dad was strict when it came to education. He kept on discouraging me when I tried doing commercials, saying that they are just tricking me to get out of school." Anne is also thankful that she lives in this part of the world. "We lived in the country, so we’d be asleep around 8 or 9 p.m. It was really boring. But here there are so many gimmicks. As of now, being young, I prefer living here but maybe when filipina model and actress settle down, I’ll move back to Australia."

Recently, filipina model and actress Anne Curtis participated in a hands-on outreach project. At the start, she was supposed to visit children in Pampanga who underwent cleft palate operations. She ended up giving them gifts. The reaction she got from them moved her. "Now I just want to help more," filipina model and actress Anne curtis admitted. She also believes that her profession has taught her the preeminent lesson in life, that of being patient. Now she grapples with the demands of work with a positive attitude. "Before I always whined about things. I was so picky. But now I am such a cowgirl. You can take me anywhere and I can do anything. Filipina model and actress can also sleep anywhere."

At filipina model and actress young age, we are privy to the events of Anne’s life and she’s not embarrassed to admit to some of them, even if they are not that wholesome. Filipina model and actress been to places we only wish we could go. Hopefully, Anne’s stars take her to places she’s never even imagined – like a really mature role in a vehicle movie that will further make her a good actress. And with that, we see no other reason for filipina model and actress to complain.
